Butterfly - Seeing Red

from $50.00

Invertebrates are essential to our way of life. They turn waste (foliage, dead animals, etc) into soil and pollinate our food. In fact, out of every three bites of food we take, one is the result of a pollinator! Estimations suggest that invertebrates comprise approximately 97% of species on earth - they really do rule the world! New research also suggests that invertebrates are sentient and feel pain!

Invertebrates such as butterflies are essential indicator species - the health of their species indicates the health of their entire ecosystem. And unfortunately, many invertebrates are in decline due largely to habitat destruction and pesticide use by animal agriculture.

Invertebrates are incredible beings who are absolutely essential to life on earth.
